Had an Accident on a Boat or Plane?

If you've suffered an accident on a boat or plane that has caused injury, you may be eligible to make a claim for compensation.

When stepping on to a boat or plane, you're putting your faith in the company delivering the service. You expect them to look after you. They have a duty of care.

When they fail on this front, it leaves you vulnerable to accident and injury. These injuries can be extensive and long-lasting, sometimes life-changing.

Would you know what to do after an accident, how to get accountability, and what processes you need to go through to get much-needed compensation that could help you adjust?

With so much uncertainty already after an accident, let the team at Winns handle your claim - we'll do the rest.

My case was not by any means straight forward or easy to work out, it was a rather complicated matter.

They are very hard working people that give you time and attention when it's needed.

Congratulations Winn Solicitors on winning my case and many thanks.

What accidents can happen when travelling by boat or plane?

Accidents on boats and planes are far more common than you might think.

In the cramped conditions of an aircraft, you might have been injured by tripping or slipping, falling luggage, or scalding or burns from hot drinks being served. Listing just a few examples, not to mention the potential dangers associated with embarking or disembarking, it'll be no surprise that more people than you'd expect have suffered injury.

On boats, the conditions are similarly confined and include the potential for injuries sustained after slips, trips, collisions, capsizing, or reckless control of the vessel.

You shouldn't suffer in silence for an accident that wasn't your fault. Seek accountability, seek support. Call Winns.

Case Study

The Accident

Our client suffered a serious injury as a result of the captain of the boat's negligent handling of the vehicle.

The Injuries

Sarah suffered two fractured bones in her back that had medical staff concerned about becoming dislodged and causing paralysis.

Reason for Claiming

Sarah wanted accountability for the accident; "Something needed to be done, someone needed to be held to account."

What does it cost me?

When instructing Winns to handle your claim, you do so on a no win no fee basis. But what does that mean?

Well, you won't pay a penny in upfront costs, and there'll be no ongoing fees or rising costs because a claim is becoming more complex.

We only receive payment if your claim is successful and that is based on a pre-agreed, fixed percentage which doesn't change.

Provided with that reassurance from the very beginning, is it time to make that call to Winns?

The service I have received from Winns has been outstanding - my emails have been responded to promptly and always answered any questions I’ve had.

I would recommend anyone who has a case to use Winn Solicitors. Thanks George and the team at Winns 👍

FAQs

How can Winns help?

Our teams have expertise and experience in the field of personal injury claims, and will handle your claim with compassion and diligence. As a one-stop-shop for accident management, our teams integrate fully to arrange medical treatment for you, while pushing your claim through the relevant legal processes.

We take care of everything so you don't need to worry. Instead you can focus on what's important - recovering from your injuries and adapting to a potential future affected by a non-fault accident.

With no upfront costs to pay, no surprise fees along the way, and no spiraling legal fees if your claim becomes more complex, we're ready to help you every step of the way.

Is there a time limit on making a claim?

In most circumstances, there is a time limit of three years from the date of the accident to submit a claim for personal injury compensation.

It's important to note, that is not three years for the claim to complete but three years to simply start the process officially. There are exceptions to this, including if it involves a person under the age of 18 (they have three years from their 18th birthday to start a claim), so it is worth chatting with one of our team who can assess your unique circumstances.

How much can I claim for?

This is based on the circumstances of your accident and the nature of the injuries sustained. Your claim will be bigger in value if the injuries need significant specialist treatment and result in the need for permanent alterations to your home or vehicle to accommodate a life altered by the accident.

Each claim, if successful, will earn the compensation deserved to assist the client in their recovery. Call us for a free no-obligation chat.

What can help your claim progress quickly?

To give your claim the best possible chance of success, you should gather as much evidence as you can while the events are fresh in your memory:

  • An account of the events leading up to the accident from your perspective.
  • The details of any eye witnesses who can support your statements.
  • Identifying if any CCTV may have captured the incident.
  • A detailed description of how the injuries are affecting your day-to-day life.
